5 Centimeters Per Second is a slice of life/coming of age anime movie and it's definitely worth watching once. It's not my favorite, but the animation is really nice

Oh man I didn't realize film scanners existed and they seem like they would be SO helpful! Thank you so much for all the info and advice, it honestly helps out a lot! That printing shop also looks like a good resource. I never would have considered just being able to mail out negatives. I appreciate the time you took to help out :)
